Alan Coates, Director

Alan is an executive with many years of board-level experience in the food-and-drink and not-for-profit sectors.

Alan spent over 30 years with United Biscuits, 18 of which as a Board Director specialising in Sales and Marketing, as well as manufacturing and corporate affairs. After taking early retirement in 2002, he spent 6 years working for Business in the Community as an Account Director. Simultaneously he took on the Chairman's role at Park Royal Partnership, where he has completed 7 years in the post. He is a Trustee of the the John Lewis Partnership Foundation and the charity Fareshare, Chair of the Ealing and Hillingdon Educational Business Partnership, and a non-executive director of William Murray Communications.

Alan lives in Windsor with his wife Susie, has three adult children and is a keen football and cricket fan with a passion also for National Hunt racing, travel, good food and fine wine. He holds a 2-1 degree in Economics from Hull University.
