What will the future look like when Alternative and Conventional Finance Hit it off? Join our round table led by Andy Davis, with a case study of the game changing Landbay deal - on 9 July
02 Jul 2015
At our next seminar on Thursday 9th July , Andy Davis (AFN Programme Director) will be hosting a round table discussion that will consider the possible outcomes from increasing interaction between mainstream and alternative finance. What models will succeed or fail, what is emerging right now and what are the risks and opportunities for newer entrants? Thoughts and inputs will be sought from the audience, and a briefing paper will be widely circulated after the event, naming contributors where they are happy to be named. This is a chance for attendees to better understand the possible direction of the industry, and play a part in it’s shaping.
As part of the discussion we are going to be digging into the implications of a landmark deal for the UK’s P2P sector. Landbay, a relatively new P2P platform that specialises in funding buy-to-let mortgages for professional and semi-professional landlords, recently announced that it had secured a warehouse financing line from a UK bank and a European asset manager that would enable it to originate and fund far higher volumes of mortgages – potentially £20m a month or more by the end of this year. If you haven’t already seen it, you can the Alternative Funding Network's Programme Director's blog on the Landbay deal HERE
The seminar takes place on Thursday 9th July at 154 - 160 Fleet Street, London EC4A 2DQ. 8.30am to 10.30am including refreshments and networking.
