Vicki Willeden-Lebrecht talks us through the expansion of her children’s publishing company The Bright Group International. Vicki and her team have managed to use a hands-on approach, a flexible and opportunistic nature and the Internet to turn a small children’s illustrators agency into a global business.
With offices in Sydney, London, New York and Seoul, the Bright Group International is flourishing despite the recession. However, working in a global environment can be challenging as well as stimulating. Vicki details how her company has dealt with cultural differences and at times even benefitted from them.
The business plans to expand into Europe and China soon, where Vicki hopes ‘Brand Britain’ and her expertly-sourced content will sell just as well as it already does elsewhere.
