Senior not-for-profit figure leads new Knowledge Peers sector offering
14 Aug 2008
Tracey Reddings has joined the Knowledge Peers team as a Non-executive Director, as it launches a new Knowledge Centre for the not-for-profit sector. Tracey is a respected executive with 25 years of experience working in the financial services and not-for-profit sectors, most recently as Chief Executive of CAF [Charities' Aid Foundation] Bank Ltd, and will take up a new role as Head of SG Hambros UK private banking on 1 September 2008.
The Not-for-profit Knowledge Centre will serve organisations including charities, social enterprises, credit unions, grant-making foundations, venture philanthropists and social investors.
"The UK's not-for-profit sector is facing a really challenging environment right now," said Tracey Reddings. "But that's not just about securing access to funding - organisations are also being asked to demonstrate far greater rigour and creativity in all areas. It's important to keep abreast of innovative investment practices, which includes performance monitoring. How should you track your 'return on giving', for example, and how does it compare to other organisations?"
"In tough times, executives also face many of the same issues as their private sector counterparts, such as a greater need for good governance - and of course, will organisations be able to cope in a funding downturn?"
Tracey's experience spans private and not-for-profit organisations, reflecting the important and growing links being forged between these sectors in the UK. She holds an MBA and is a Chartered Director, Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and Freeman of the City of London with the International Guild of Bankers. She is also a Trustee of two charities, NED for an established business and a new business start up, and Founder and MD of Integral Links Ltd, a London-based strategic consulting firm serving the not for profit, social enterprise and financial services sector.
