New funding and a high-profile board appointment for Knowledge Peers
1 Jun 2008
Knowledge Peers has announced the closure of its first external funding round, raising around £750,000 from a network of over twenty experienced private investors.
"I am very excited to find such enthusiastic support for our vision," said Chris Dines, CEO of Knowledge Peers. "We now have a brilliant opportunity to change the way that British businesses seek advice as they face the challenges of growth. Ultimately, if business leaders can support each other by sharing their insights and experience, everyone stands to gain."
Over the coming months Knowledge Peers will use the funding to expand into new topics and sectors, including Not-for-Profit and HR, to build out its range of online services, and to step up the recruitment of new members, contributors and panel experts.
Knowledge Peers also announced the appointment of Paul Murray to the Board as a Non-Executive Director. Paul is a respected senior figure from the world of media and information, currently serving on the Boards of Thomson SA (the media business, listed in Paris and New York), Taylor Nelson Sofres PLC (the third largest global markets research group) and Tangent Communications PLC, an AIM listed digital marketing services company. Previously he was a Group FD of Carlton Communications plc, responsible for negotiating the merger with Granada.
